Sam Pardue | Co-Founder, Indow

Sam Pardue is a serial entrepreneur who has formed start-up ventures and social benefit initiatives in Portland, Oregon. Upon graduating from Carnegie Mellon’s MBA program in 1998, Sam first worked at Intel Corporation as a marketing manager. After several years he left to co-found Lensbaby (www.lensbaby.com), a celebrated manufacturer of special effects SLR camera lenses.

In August 2010 Sam stepped down as Lensbaby’s CEO to found Indow (www.indowwindows.com), a company which manufactures and markets Pardue's patented, award-winning invention, a window insert that presses inside window frames to provide comfort, quiet, and energy savings.

At Indow Sam has worked to benefit society through initiatives such as We Hire Refugees (www.wehirerefugees.org), a platform for businesses to advocate for refugees; and Clean Practice (www.cleanpractice.org), which shares best practices for maintaining team safety and morale during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indow was named by DWELL Magazine as a Top 10 Product at Greenbuild 2012 and in 2014 Indow won Environmental Leader’s Product of the Year Award and Door & Window Magazine’s Green Product Award. In 2015 Indow was recognized by Portland Business Journal as the Small Business Manufacturer of the Year. In 2020 Indow was awarded the Oregon Entrepreneur Network’s Give Award for outstanding community service in recognition of the Clean Practice initiative.
